Is there an easy way to remove what's left of these bushes?

Hello Landscapers!

I’m in the middle of a remodel and these bushes were casualties (http://ift.tt/2bAzLKv). I’m not going to get the landscaping redone until next year. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to accelerate rotting or to make digging out the bushes easier?
