Removing Honeysuckle on a Slope

Hello all, my wife and I just moved into our first house and have decided to go big for our first major project.

Our backyard has a nice little wooded area with some big beautiful trees, but is mostly covered but what I believe is invasive honeysuckle. We would very much like to clear these plants out to open our backyard, but I have one concern. After researching these plants I’ve come across quite a few articles stating these plants are good at erosion control. It just so happens that our little forested area is on a downward slope leading to a creek. At it’s steepest point, I’d say about 30 degree slope but on average around 10-15 degrees. If I were to remove all of these plants from my yard, would I be endangering my yard and house over time? I’m not sure if someone would have had the foresight to actually plant these plants 5/10/15 years ago.

There are still quite a few extremely large trees with roots branching out a couple dozen feet and other, I assume, native flora scattered throughout. From what I can tell, no actual honeysuckle vines or small plants, just the extremely large and numerous bushes. We live in southwest Ohio, soil appears to be just regular ole dirt.

Sorry for the text wall and thank you for any input!
