Removed a small rotting deck, what now?

Previous owner built a deck around a hot tub. We got rid of the hot tub including the deck and I’m left with this black hole of a weed growing mess in the back yard. I’m going to remove the painted wood slats and perhaps the tiling that was attempted. The receptacle already has been disconnected. However, what should I do with this portion of the yard? Top soil and reseed? Small wall/paver patio with steps? Anything else to consider?

I can’t excavate the mound due to large tree roots and there’s about a 2-3 foot slope that’s hard to photograph, but hopefully the pavers give some kind of idea. While mentioning the pavers, I do have about 80 of them leftover I could use toward this if they are at all useful. I am borderline zone 4/5. Thanks!
