Want to start xeriscape for my front lawn, but need help starting.

Location - Rancho Cucamonga, CA  

Soil Conditions - Not too sure.  

Which side of your house - The north and north-east sides of the house  

Budget - I’m not sure what an ideal budget for this is  

Your experience level - Just getting started, no prior knowledge of landscaping.

• If I wanted to convert this to a xeriscape design, is it as easy as just digging up the front lawn to a certain depth?

• How much does something like this usually cost?

• I’ll probably be working alone, with help on some days… is this something that will be possible to do by myself?
